- Packed with protein + naturally low carb
- Great for meal prep or entertaining

Ingredients You’ll Need
Full measurements and directions are in the recipe card below.

Shrimp – Raw, peeled, and deveined. Tail-on looks prettiest on skewers.
Marinade – Olive oil, lemon juice, brown sugar or honey, garlic, red pepper flakes, parsley, sea salt, black pepper.
Garlic Butter – Melted butter, fresh garlic, Italian seasoning, and a sprinkle of parmesan.
Skewers – Metal or soaked wooden. Skewers make grilling a breeze.
Let’s Make It

Marinate the Shrimp
Whisk the marinade ingredients in a bowl. Add shrimp and toss to coat. Let them sit for no more than 20 minutes... longer and they’ll turn mushy.
Prep Your Grill + Garlic Butter
Preheat your grill to medium-high (around 375–400°F). In a small bowl, mix melted butter with garlic, parsley, salt, and parmesan.
Grill to Perfection
Thread shrimp onto skewers. Grill for 2–3 minutes per side until opaque and slightly charred. Do NOT overcook... rubbery shrimp are the worst.
Serve It Up
Brush or pour garlic butter over the hot shrimp. Add a squeeze of fresh lime. Serve immediately on or off the skewers.
Tips + Notes

Just 4–5 minutes total on the grill. Look for opaque pink flesh and remove immediately.
Using frozen shrimp?

How much per person?
Appetizer: ⅓ pound per person
(If unpeeled, go closer to 1 lb per person.)
Main dish: ½ pound per person
Leftovers + Reheating
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3–4 days. Reheat in a skillet with a splash of olive oil for just 1–2 minutes. Done.

Garlic Herb Grilled Shrimp Skewers
Juicy grilled shrimp skewers marinated in garlic, lime, and herbs, then finished with rich garlic butter and parmesan. Quick to make, packed with flavor, and perfect for warm nights, game day appetizers, or anytime you want a high-protein dish that tastes like summer.
Ingredients
- 1 Lb Shrimp (peeled, deveined, tails on)
- ¼ Cup Olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar
- 2 Cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Dried Parsley
- 2 teaspoon Lemon Juice
- ½ teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
Garlic Butter
- ¼ Cup Butter, Melted
- 2 Cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Parmesan Cheese, shredded
- ¼ teaspoon Italian Seasoning
Instructions
- Make the marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, brown sugar, minced garlic (2 cloves), dried parsley, lime juice, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
- Marinate the shrimp: Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat. Cover and marinate for no more than 20 minutes any longer and the texture can go mushy.
- Prep the grill + skewers: While the shrimp is marinating, preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If you're using wooden skewers, soak them in water during this time to prevent burning.
- Make the garlic butter: In a separate small bowl, mix melted butter, remaining garlic (2 cloves, minced), parmesan, and Italian seasoning. Set aside.
- Grill the shrimp: Thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers and place them on the hot grill. Cook for 2 minutes per side, just until they turn opaque pink and slightly charred.
- Serve: Remove shrimp from skewers and toss with the garlic butter or brush it over the skewered shrimp and serve them just like that.
